Gary D. Gogolin, 61, of Valencia passed away on Sunday.

He was the brother of Jerry (Robin) Gogolin of Gibsonia, Joseph Gogolin, Frank Gogolin and the late John Gogolin; and the uncle of Jason and Jennifer.

A U.S. Marine veteran, Gary was an accomplished football player at Richland High School, Youngstown State University and while serving with the Marines. He was a graduate of Cerritos College, Calif., a member of American Legion Post 548, and he enjoyed fishing.

He owned his own painting business.
