Butler graduate Amy Achesinski, a sophomore forward on the Mercyhurst College women's basketball team, was named second-team all-PSAC West recently.

Union graduate Bethany Koch, a junior atClarion University, also made the second team.

California (Pa.) University coach Heather Kearney was named PSAC West Coach of The Year.

The Vulcans (29-4) are in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II tournament under Kearney, a Slippery Rock High graduate and a former player and assistant coach at Slippery Rock University.

Cal will take onFranklin Pierce (N.H.) University at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
