William George 'Bill' Barkley III
William George “Bill” Barkley III, 59, of West Sunbury passed away at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 20, 1952, in Butler. He was the son of the late William George Barkley Jr. and the late Waneta M. Cain Barkley.
He was a 1971 graduate of Moniteau High School and attended the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church. He was employed as a security officer with Capital Asset Protection. He enjoyed watching movies, especially those starring John Wayne, reading, hunting and fishing. He was an avid fan of wrestling and loved anything and everything about World War II. He also adored his cat, Bella.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Roger (Sharon)Wehr of Evans City and Karen Barkley of Butler; and one brother, John Barkley of Butler. Also surviving are one niece, two nephews and their families.
BARKLEY — Friends of William George “Bill” Barkley III, who died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, will be received at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Lang of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
