Matt Adams went six-for-9 and had five RBI and five runs scored to power the host Slippery Rock University baseball team to a 10-0, 14-4 sweep over Bluefield State (W.Va.) Sunday to improve to 17-7.

Adams went 5-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBI in the nightcap.

Rich Michalek had a double, triple, two singles, four runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases.

Scott Bender and Derek Diruscia had three hits apiece, including a home run each.

Mike Ritson struck out 10, walked one and allowed just two hits in five innings for the win in Game 1.

Sean Holliday earned the win in Game 2, allowing four runs in five innings with five strikeouts.

Freshmen Casey Quinn and Samantha Eddy combined to score eight goals as The Rock downed Kutztown 14-9 in PSAC crossover play Saturday.Claire Conrad added three goals and Amy Halls two goals for SRU (2-4).

Jessica Hilborn recorded wins in both her No. 4 singles match as well as her No. 2 doubles match with Samantha Blackburn as The Rock pulled out a 5-4 decision over the University of Charleston .
