Rosemary Patterson

Rosemary Patterson, 88, of Slippery Rock passed away unexpectedly at 11:06 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 26, 1923, in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of the late John Jones and the late Rosealeen Fox Jones.

She was a member of Center United Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.

Previously, she was employed as the office manager at Pittsburgh Metals in Saxonburg, and most recently at BonTon in the Clearview Mall. She was a “work-a-holic.” She enjoyed camping with her late husband at Chattauqua Lake, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, William Patterson, and his wife, Phyllis, of Slippery Rock; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Joy, and her husband, Michael, of Slippery Rock and Gregory Patterson also of Slippery Rock.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Patterson, who died Feb. 5, 1988; her son, Gary Patterson, who died Dec. 17, 1979; one sister; and one brother.

PATTERSON — Friends of Rosemary Patterson, who passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 11, 2012, will be received at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. William “Bill” Mumaw, her pastor, officiating.Burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
