Slippery Rock University freshman Amy Halls scored two goals in the team's 22-3 loss to No. 7 ranked Gannon University Thursday.

Hall set the single-season scoring record with her 48th goal.

Hall, who still has two games remaining, broke the previous mark of 47 by set April Ennis in 1990. Brandi Otting accounted for The Rock's (4-11, 0-7) other goal.

Kayla Blackburn and Casey Runyan each recorded decisive 6-0, 6-0 victories in singles action Thursday to help SRU (18-3, 4-1) blank Shippensburg 9-0.The Rock's No. 2 doubles of Laura Handy and Knoch graduate Chelsea Gibson also posted a shutout in a 8-0 win.
