James Robert Skidmore, 46, of Cranberry Township passed away June 20 at his home.

He was born Jan. 13, 1966, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Franklin L. Skidmore Sr. and Nancy (Maute) Nestler of Evans City.

He enjoyed watching the Pirates and playing guitar. His favorite musical group was Rush.

Surviving him are his mother and two brothers, Matthew Nestler of Evans City and Franklin L. Skidmore Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather, Thomas Nestler.

SKIDMORE — A memorial service for James Robert Skidmore, who passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bakerstown United Methodist Church, 5760 William Flynn Highway, Gibsonia. Interment will be in the Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick.

Arrangements are entrusted to YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler.
