Brothers

Hildegard G. “Hilda” Brothers, 66, of Ambridge, formerly of Germany and Butler, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at her residence.

She was born July 18, 1946, in Germany, the daughter of the late Josepha Scheer.

Hilda wrote a book describing her life in Germany after World War II and was an avid animal lover.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Brothers; two daughters, Elke Scheer and Barbara Albers-Scheer, both of Germany; one son, Thomas Scheer of Germany; one step-daughter, Stacey Scheetz-Brothers of Butler; two step-sons, Thomas R. Brothers of Butler and Curtis Brothers of Ambridge; seven grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

BROTHERS — Friends of Hildegard G. “Hilda” Brothers, who died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services and interment will be private.
