Donald E. Sloan Jr., 89, of Emlenton, Richland Township, Venango County, died Tuesday.

He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, a leader at the Emlenton Presbyterian Church, a retired Emlenton district judge, and he co-owned the Sloan Agency.

In 1946, he married Jean Murray, who passed away in 1995. Among his survivors are five children; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous other loved ones.

SLOAN — Friends of Donald E. Sloan Jr., who died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and for funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday.
