George W. 'Ike' Albert

George W. “Ike” Albert, 77, of Merrill, Wis., formerly of Harrisville and Grove City, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 14 in Merrill.

George was born in Franklin Township to Lewis and Daisy Schantz Albert on Dec. 18, 1934.

He hauled for Tajon Trucking and retired from Adobe Mining. After retiring, he worked as a security guard for Slippery Rock Campground.

He was past president of the Pennsylvania Snowmobile Association.

George is survived by three sons and their spouses, George Albert Jr. and Georgette of Sturtevant, Wis., Steven Albert and Tammy and Michael Albert and Jackie, all of Merrill, Wis; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores West and Bill of Greenville; two brothers, Ronald Albert and Sherry of Harrisville and Charles Albert and Shirley of Slippery Rock; a sister-in-law, Doris Albert of Harrisville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Albert; and his wife, Aileen Albert, who died in November 2010.

ALBERT — There was no visitation for George W. “Ike” Albert, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14. 2012. Other arrangements are private.
