Kenneth Steve Schiebel
Kenneth Steve Schiebel, 74, passed away Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was born on the family farm in Winfield Township, on July 7, 1938, to Kenneth and Loretta Schiebel. For the past several years, he made his home in Albuquerque.
He was a master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served three tours during the Vietnam War. In his 30-year career he served in many locations, including Germany. He loved the Air Force and was proud to serve his country. Throughout his career and in retirement, he volunteered at veterans' hospitals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Loretta Schiebel; a son, Kevin S. Schiebel; brothers, Richard, George, John and Joseph; and father and mother-in-law, Leslie and Agnes Upperman.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Kathie Schiebel, who also served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years; son, Kenneth D. (Kristen) Schiebel; daughter, Susan K. (Andy) Ustaszewski; son, Michael G. (Susan) Schiebel; sister, Joan M. (James D. ) Miller; brothers, Alan F. (Joyce) Schiebel, Roy J. (Gerry) Schiebel and Neal J. Schiebel; granddaughters, Morgan, Teagan, Lauren, Martha and Meghan; grandsons, Xander, Matthew, Connery, Corbin and Cavin; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schiebel, Janice Schiebel and Sherry (Richard) Greenwood; brothers-in-law, David (Lynn Larson) Upperman, Dennis (Sharon) Upperman and Terry (Jackie) Upperman; and cousin, Gloria (Mike) Bowmaster.
SCHIEBEL — A service for Kenneth Steve Schiebel, who passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, was held in Albuquerque. He will be buried in Dell City, Oklahoma. He was given military honors.
