DiDonato impressive as GCC wins, 35-14
Grove City College quarterback Andrew DiDonato threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another as the Wolverines thumped host Bethany, 35-14 Saturday night.
DiDonato, a senior, completed 22 of 32 passes for 240 yards and also rushed for 61 yards on 14 attempts in the victory.
The Wolverines (1-2, 1-0) held a 21-0 lead at halftime and a 27-14 edge after three quarters.
Blaine Miller led Grove City's ground attack by gaining 91 yards on 21 carries and added two 1-yard scoring runs.
Will McCoy snagged four catches for 62 yards, with two of those receptions going for touchdowns for Grove City, which will host Washington & Jefferson on Saturday.
