Snapshot: Festivals in Butler County in 2026
This list is one in a series showing a snapshot of what life looks like in Butler County ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026.
Below are the events planned across Butler County for the remainder of 2026.
The event, billed as “the largest fair in Western Pennsylvania,” includes food, animals, concerts and rides. Prices may vary in person and online.
Admission: $8 to $10, cash only at the gate; Free for children 6 and under
Location: 1127 New Castle Road, Prospect
Hours: Daily: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Weekends and July 4: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Entertainment includes carnival rides, craft and nonprofit vendors, as well as live concerts, food vendors, games and more. The Cranberry Chase 5K Run/Walk takes place July 11.
Location: Cranberry Community Park, 111 Ernie Mashuda Drive, Cranberry Township
Hours: July 9 — 4 to 10 p.m.; July 10 — 4 to 11 p.m.; July 11 — 1 to 11 p.m.
As part of the celebration of America’s 250th birthday, and inspired by the photography of Ben Hughes, this weekend will feature exhibits and events at Butler Area Public Library, the Maridon Museum, the Penn Theater and elsewhere.
Admission: Free
Location: Downtown Butler
Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday
Events include a Hot-to-Trot 5K/1-Mile/Tot-Trot, saddlebags cornhole tournament, Horse Trading Days Dog Show and the seventh annual ShuBrew Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Location: Downtown Zelienople
Hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Beer, Wine & Music Festival will feature music by Major Morgan and 28 North.
Location: Seven Fields Town Park, 380 Castle Creek Drive, Seven Fields
Hours: 5 to 9 p.m.
Enjoy a full day of activities during a visit to Jennings Environmental Education Center when the Blazing Star is in bloom. There will be guided walks, workshops and demonstrations, plus local food, vendors and entertainment.
Location: Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, Slippery Rock
Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A vintage village, saw mill, cider press, gas engines, oil field equipment, farm animals, train rides, steam engines, flea market, crafts, food, children's’ pedal tractor pulling, tractor pulls and a steam building are some of the features to enjoy.
Admission: $5 for adults; Free for children 11 and younger
Location: 1512 Perry Highway (Route 19 North), Portersville
Hours: Gates open at 8 a.m.
Attractions include a vendor marketplace, land recreation, cornhole tournament and regatta car cruise.
Location: Moraine State Park’s South Shore
Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This event showcases Butler County’s farming community with a variety of farming exhibits, tractor pulls and demonstrations. Attendees also can enjoy arts and crafts, carnival rides, food vendors and more.
Location: Butler Farm Show grounds, 625 Evans City Road, Connoquenessing Township
The event features world champion cowboys and cowgirls, food and merchandise.
Location: North Washington Rodeo Arena, 2225 Oneida Valley Road, North Washington
Hours: Gates open at 6 p.m.; Starts at 8 p.m. each night, rain or shine.
The community day and car cruise celebrating the 250th anniversary of America will feature live music with Gary Burk III, food, games, raffles and fireworks at dusk.
Admission and parking: free
Location: Eau Claire Community Park, 106 E. Park Ave., Eau Claire
Hours: 2 p.m. until dark, music by Gary Burk III at 6 p.m.
The Band Jam Grass Roots Music Festival is a weekend-long celebration of local music and artists. It will feature 20 bands and artists.
Admission: $30 in advance, or $40 at the gate; Free for children 17 and younger
Location: Cooper’s Lake Campground, 205 Currie Road, Worth Township
Butler Italian Days will be a vibrant celebration of Italian heritage with delicious food, lively music and engaging entertainment for the entire community.
Location: Main Street in Butler, between Cunningham and Wayne streets
The event features live bands, contests, games, rides, magic, cornhole and more.
Location: Main Street, Slippery Rock
Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event features food, vendors, live music, carriage rides and children's activities.
Location: Main Street, Saxonburg
Hours: Sept. 12 — 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sept. 13 — 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company, 290 Horne Ave., Saxonburg
Hours: Sept. 12 — 6 to 10 p.m.; Sept. 13 — 4 to 6 p.m.
Featured artists include Noble Hops, Cecilia Tomko, Gary Burk III and Karen Waldrup.
