Leah M. Burka, 60, of Butler passed away Monday.

She was born July 24, 1952, in Butler, the daughter of the late Paul Walter and Ruth (McMillin) Bauer.

Leah was a 1970 graduate of Butler High School and graduated from Clarion State College, now Clarion University, in 1974. She was employed at the Butler Walmart for 10 years as a cashier.

Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Daniel Burka; two daughters and their husbands, Janet and Steven White of Butler and Megan and Jerod King of Pittsburgh; a son, Keith Burka of Butler; a sister, Linda and her husband, Harvey Wagner, of North Canton, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

BURKA — Friends of Leah M. Burka, who passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., Butler, with the Rev. Dave Maitland officiating.
