David Joseph Baird
David J. Baird, 87, of Richland Township died Wednesday.
A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, he owned and operated B&B Electronics, an appliance sales and service store in Sharpsburg, for 42 years. He retired in 1988.
He belonged to Hampton Presbyterian Church and was a member of the VFW Post 2454 and the American Legion Post 296. He enjoyed gardening, trips with his family and time with his precious grandson.
He is survived by his sons, David L. (Cheryl) Baird and Daniel G. (Nicole) Baird; grandson, Timothy Daniel Baird; and sister, Betty Lou Barry.
In addition to his parents, David W. and Ruth (Weichel) Baird, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Baird in 2007; son, David Joseph Baird Jr. in 1956; and brother, Alvin L. Baird.
BAIRD — Visitation for David J. Baird, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Herbert R. King Jr. Funeral Home, 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park.A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2941 E. Hardies Road, Gibsonia. Please meet at the church.
