Christine Lee Metzger Blaney
Christine Lee Metzger Blaney, 60, of Cranberry Township passed away Sunday in the comfort of her own home.
Born Oct. 7, 1952, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Francis and Marion (Knoedler) Metzger.
Christine was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and loved to sew. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her children more than anything. In her spare time, she loved playing with her two dogs, Max and Nikki. She was employed by Mine Safety Appliances for many years. Christine also treasured babysitting out of her own home for more than 17 years.
She is survived by her loving parents; companion, William Blaney; three children, Leanne Welch and her husband, Ryan, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Susan and Glen Blaney of Cranberry Township; and three sisters, Karen Slonaker and her husband, Gary, of Pittsburgh, Kathleen Barbour and her husband, John, of Pittsburgh and Melinda Cosentino and her husband, Joseph, of Canton, Ohio.
BLANEY — Friends of Christine Lee Metzger Blaney, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. John Spencer officiating.
