Virginia B. Bensley Newcomer, 94, of Cranberry Township, passed away Sept. 24.

Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., on June 14, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Maurice D. and Winifred (Tickner) Bensley.

She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Newcomer; loving mother of Martin (Kathleen) Newcomer IV of Cranberry Township, J. David (Deborah) Newcomer of Gotha, Fla., William T. (Deborah) Newcomer of Valencia and Janet N. (Charles E.) Crone of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and sister of the late John T. Bensley. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Amanda Newcomer, Jonathan Newcomer, Annie Morris Simcoe, Sara Newcomer, Kathleen Crone, Christopher Crone and Thomas Crone.

Virginia was a graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor of design degree, and she was a member of Pi Beta Phi.

NEWCOMER — Family and friends of Virginia B. Bensley Newcomer, who passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, are invited to a memorial service in the auditorium of Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community, Cranberry Township, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
