Allegheny Health Network announced Wednesday, July 1, it had completed a merger with Heritage Valley Health System.

The merger includes facilities in Lawrence, Beaver and Allegheny counties. In total, two hospitals, 36 doctor’s offices and 7 multispecialty medical neighborhoods will join Allegheny Health Network.

According to the news release announcing the merger, AHN plans to retain all existing Heritage Valley employees and invest about $285 million over the next 10 years in Heritage Valley’s facilities and infrastructure.
