Sara Katherine McConnell of Bradenton Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away Feb. 6 at her home.

She was born June 3, 1926, in Butler and was the daughter of Paul C. and Frances J. Cannon Kradel.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Byron McConnell. They lived in New Castle until retiring in Bradenton in 1994.

Ms. McConnell graduated from nurses training from Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a private duty nurse and health supervisor at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle from 1947 until 1993.

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Lynne McConnell Pearl and her son, Randall James McConnell, both of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
