Alma Julianna Williams, 89, of New Castle passed on Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 16, 1923, in Scalp Level, Pa., daughter of the late LeRoy and Rita (Reidinger) Fleegle.

Alma was a registered nurse who enjoyed a long and rewarding career with the Visiting Nurses Association. She was a member of the Butler Chapter of the Eastern Star and a member of First United Methodist Church, Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, B.J. Williams; one son, Rick Williams; one grandson, Dean Knight; and three brothers, Ed, Dick and Bob.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Caren and Jack Stauffer of New Castle; her grandchildren, Christi (Smith) Bryant, Brad (Sandra) Knight, Bo (Carey) Williams, Courtney (Jeff) Carter, and Justin and Ian Stauffer; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dolores Chicarell.

WILLIAMS — In honor of the wishes of Alma Julianna Williams, who died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, cremation arrangements were by the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
