At least one person was flown to a nearby hospital after a crash Thursday afternoon on Route 8 in Penn Township.

Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to the two-vehicle crash at around 4:30 p.m. in front of Freedom Farms Market.

Two vehicles were damaged: a sedan with heavy front-end damage and a box truck with damage to the passenger's side door area. Route 8 northbound traffic was constricted for about an hour while the sedan was towed from the scene, the truck was driven from the scene.

More information was unavailable at the scene.

Penn Township Police, Middlesex Township Police, Butler Ambulance and Saxonburg Ambulance also responded.
