Lillian Montag of Cabot was called home to meet Jesus on Friday morning after a brief illness. She was lovingly cared for by the staff of the ICU at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She lived at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in an apartment for many years and most recently she was at the Lund Center in assisted living.

She was a lifelong member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot. She attended St. Luke Lutheran School and graduated from Butler High School.

She worked in the accounting department of Allegheny Ludlum until her retirement.

Lillian loved to do embroidery as a hobby. She enjoyed baby-sitting and the many visits from her many nieces and nephews. She also kept in touch with her grandnieces and grandnephews.

Lillian was the daughter of Norman and Alma Montag. Her siblings are Roland Montag (Kathryn), Margaret (Montag) Anderson and Donald Montag (Mary Jean).

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents.

MONTAG — The visiting hours for Lillian Montag, who died Friday, April 5, 2013, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Her funeral celebrating the Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Luke Lutheran Church. Burial will be at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery.Memorial donations may be given to St. Luke Lutheran School, where she was tenderly taught about her Savior as a child, or to a charity of your choice.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
