Frank A. Festa Jr.
Frank A. Festa Jr., 70, of Mars, formerly of Florence, Ala., died Monday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township.
Born on June 4, 1942, in Penn Hills, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank A. and Bertha Zwahlen Festa Sr.
Frank was a founding member of I.M.S. Systems, Inc. in Mars where he served as technical coordinator.
He was a Catholic.
He was a member of the Wexford Knights of Columbus.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy May Festa, who he married on Dec. 14, 1985; two sons, Steven Festa and his wife, Peggy, of Monroeville, Pa., and Gregory Festa of Turtle Creek; a daughter, Kala Festa of Mars; grandfather of Joe, Kelsey, Brian, Anthony, Nikolai and Eric; four sisters, Patricia L. Bruce of Youngwood, Pa., Jean Schooley and her husband, Fred, of Lake Norman, N.C., Karen Scinico and her husband, Mike, of South Bend, Ind., and Judith Hanna and her husband, Dale, of Liberty, S.C.; a brother, James T. Festa of Pittsburgh, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death a daughter, Elizabeth Festa.
FESTA — Friends of Frank A. Festa Jr., who died Monday, June 3, 2013, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 11 to 1 p.m. Thursday.
