Thelma V. Plunkard
Thelma V. Plunkard, 85, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Butler County, the daughter of the late Larry E. and Elda (Callaway) Hoover.
Thelma was a former member of the Muddycreek Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed playing cards, bowling and cooking.
Surviving are her daughter, Brenda (Kenny) Plunkard of Wampum; three sons, James R. (Linda) Plunkard Jr. of Polaski, Pa., George L. (Carol) Plunkard of Portersville and Ronald W. (Kathryn) Plunkard of Slippery Rock. Ten grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Plunkard, who died Feb. 24, 2007, two sisters, and four brothers.
Plunkard — Services for Thelma V. Plunkard, who passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, will be at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, at 4 p.m. Friday with Capt. Henry Thibault officiating.
