Lena Augusta Clark
Lena Augusta Clark, 85, of Orchard Manor, Grove City and formerly of Sprucewood Commons, Slippery Rock and Tok, Alaska, passed away at the Grove City Medical Center on Tuesday.
She was born in Midland Township, Mich., on Aug. 12, 1927, to James Arthur Clark and Augusta Emma Noack Clark.
She was a retired teacher and worked as a research gardener. She was a former member of the Chapel of the North in Tok, Alaska. She attended Hope Fellowship Assembly of God in Slippery Rock. She was an active member of the Slippery Rock Senior Center. She was actively involved in Sprucewood Commons tenant events.
Survivors include three sisters, Rebecca Richendrfer of Slippery Rock, Naomi Wells of Selbyville, Del., and Joy Durben of Bishop, W.Va.; and one brother, Phillip A. Clark Sr. of Stanton, Ky.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara Cornelius; and two brothers, Mark Joel Clark and Thomas J. Clark.
CLARK — A memorial service for Lena Augusta Clark, who died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, will be held at Hope Fellowship Assembly of God, 411 N. Main St., Slippery Rock on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David A. Richendrfer, a nephew of Lena, presiding.
Family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be given at the service for “Bibles for Missions.”
