Dorothy A. Herrmann, 80, of Zelienople passed away Sunday while under the care of UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born on Nov. 19, 1932, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Nellie (Sloan) Eck.

A Catholic by faith, Dorothy worked as a secretary for Allis-Chalmers.

She is survived by her brother, Herbert Eck of Pittsburgh, and her brother-in-law, Charles Herrmann of Evans City.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joseph S. Herrmann, who passed away in 2009; three brothers, and six sisters.

HERRMANN — Services for Dorothy A. Herrmann, who died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, will be private. She will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Township.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
