Ernestine 'Nana' Worhatch Steighner

Ernestine “Nana” Worhatch Steighner, 76, of Cabot passed away early Monday morning at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg, S.C.

Born on June 25, 1937, she was the beloved wife of the late Daniel F. Steighner, and daughter of the late Mary and Maximilian Worhatch II.

She is survived by her brother, Maximilian J. Worhatch III (Maxine); her three sons and two daughters, Daniel F. II (Stacie), L. Sean, Victoria A. (Basel), Gregory and Karla A.; her seven grandchildren, Alexandra, Brittany, Cassandra, Iman, Sami, Joey and Sarah.

Nana enjoyed working with crafts, gardening, crossword puzzles and watching mystery and detective television shows. She also loved her pet cats and dogs.

She was a graduate of Mars High School and graduated from Duquesne University with a pharmacy degree.

STEIGHNER — A Celebration of Life visitation for Ernestine “Nana” Worhatch Steighner, who passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the Floyd North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, S.C.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Hatcher Garden-Woodland Preserve, P.O.
