Pooches strut their stuff for a good cause

Dog lovers and their canine companions turned out Saturday to participate in the Third Memorial Mutt Strut in memory of Garrett Fifield. The event ran from 9 a.m. to noon starting at the Butler Memorial Park Rotary Shelter, 100 Memorial Drive.
The strut consisted of a two-mile route as well as contests, raffles and light refreshments.
Organizers estimated the event raised aroung $11 to $12,000 to benefit the Butler County Humane Society.
