Thelma F. Mitzel
Thelma F. Mitzel, 92, of Saxonburg passed away Tuesday at the Shelbourne Personal Care Home.
Born on Oct. 30, 1920, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Frank and Ida Mae Hazen.
Thelma had worked as a waitress for Dave's Lunch in Pittsburgh.
She liked singing and playing the piano.
Surviving are her son, Leroy Bittner of South Park; her two daughters, Jean (Sonny) Jordan of Saxonburg and Peggy (Jack) Honan of Saxonburg; her three sisters, Cloyd Long of Kentucky, Jean Meyers of Pittsburgh and Marge Burnsed of Florida; her brother, Connie Hazen of Florida; her nine grandchildren, Cliff, Bob, Michelle, Kelly, Jackie, Jennifer, Julie, Mark and Lisa, and her 16 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymont Mitzel in 1997, and her eight brothers and sisters.
MITZEL — The friends of Thelma F. Mitzel, who passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. The services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Brewer officiating.
