Jan Marie Kunert Kimmel, 61, cherished wife and mother, passed away Wednesday at home in Butler.

She was born April 1, 1952, in Pittsburgh.

Jan is survived by her husband of 43 years, Michael Allen Kimmel, who she married Jan. 30, 1970.

Surviving are her parents, Ronald Francis Kunert Sr. and Margery Ruth McLaughlin Kunert of Naples, Fla.; her children, Kimberly Kimmel Wahlenmayer and her husband, Douglas Barry Wahlenmayer, of Pittsburgh and Narayan Joseph Kimmel and his wife, Nadia Vasilyeva Kimmel, of St. Petersburg, Russia; grandchildren, Theodore Kimmel Wahlenmayer and Claire Kimmel Wahlenmayer; brothers, Ronald Francis Kunert Jr. and Frank John Kunert; her sister, Colleen Elizabeth Kunert Gonzales; and eight nieces and three nephews.

She graduated from North Allegheny High School. Her family, grandchildren and cats, KoKo and Yinny, gave her great comfort and joy.
