Dianne Mary Schmittle Panaia
Dianne Mary Schmittle Panaia, 72, of Slippery Rock, Worth Township, Butler County, lost her long battle with cancer at 1 a.m. Thursday, but died peacefully at the Grove City Medical Center, Grove City.
She was born in Wilkinsburg, Pa., Allegheny County on Nov. 28, 1940.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Lewis Panaia Sr. at home.
She worked at Giant Eagle in Slippery Rock, and volunteered for the Slippery Rock Feed My Sheep Food Cupboard.
Also surviving are her three daughters who loved her very much, Ivy B. Ziegler (Joseph) of Rosedale, Pa., Colleen M. Quinn of Oakmont, Pa., and Erin L. Quinn of Oakmont; her stepdaughter, Debbie Daily (Larry) of Virginia; her stepson, Joseph L. Panaia Jr. of South Dakota; and her five stepgrandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Joey, Morgan and Isabella.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
PANAIA — The funeral services for Dianne Mary Schmittle Panaia, who died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, were private. There will be no public visitation. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Grove City Medical Center for their excellent love and care.The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Smith Funeral Home, Slippery Rock.
