Dorothy 'Dot' Lydick

Dorothy “Dot” Lydick, 82, of Sarver went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born on Dec. 16, 1930, to the late Anna Carnahan and John King.

She was a homemaker who loved gardening, crafting, and cooking delicious desserts for her family, including her late husband, George (Jack) Lydick. Dorothy was an active member of the Freeport Road Alliance Church for many years, participating in the ladies groups, Sunday school and potluck dinners.

She leaves behind the legacy of her family, her son, Jack (Linda) Lydick; her daughter, Kimberly Lydick; her sister, Dolores “Honey” Bain; her brother, John Carnahan; her grandchildren, Jacob (Jamie) Lydick, Jessica (Paul) Racioppo, Sarah Lantz, Katie (Jesse) Vance, and Georgi Lantz; and her great-grandchildren, Andrew and Giana Racioppo and Jocelyn and Julianna Lydick.

LYDICK — The friends of Dorothy “Dot” Lydick, who passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
