Robert M. Livengood

Robert M. Livengood, 86, of Butler passed away at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on Oct. 30, 1927, in Manorville, Pa., to the late Glen Livengood and Helen (Lukehart) Livengood.

Bob was a graduate of Ford City High School. He then went on to the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his master's degree.

He retired from Air Product and Chemicals in Butler.

Bob was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary (Hileman) Livengood, who he married July 3, 1947, and his three sisters, Lucinda Kirkpatrick and her husband, Don, of Kittanning, Marlene Wilcox of Michigan and Diana Stitt and her husband, Wilber, of Kittanning.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl J. Livengood, and his brother, Henry Livengood.

LIVENGOOD — At the request of Robert M. Livengood, who passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, there will be no public visitation.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 North Duffy Road, Butler, with Pastor Bruce Gascoine of Christ Community United Methodist Church officiating.A private burial will take place in Ford City Cemetery.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, Butler.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 North Duffy Road, Butler, PA 16001 or to a donor's favorite charity.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
