More than just cars entertain at annual Cruise-A-Palooza
More than 13 years ago, the members of the Rodfathers of Butler had already started their yearly Cruise-A-Palooza, entertaining car-lovers in the area by taking over Butler’s Main Street with hundreds of hot rods.
The event always attracts more than just the vintage car enthusiasts. Their families, friends and children also tag along to take in the free event.
Each year the Rodfathers take the money earned from 50/50 raffles and clothing sales and donate it to charities.
At the 2013 Cruise-A-Palooza, John Malinski, president of the Rodfathers, said the club adds up the revenue that’s brought in and divides it among about 10 charities, regularly giving more than $250 to each.
“We’re giving back to the community,” Malinski said. “We all pretty much grew up here and have kids here. That’s what the event is all about.”
