Agnes Cantolina

Agnes M. Cantolina, 81, of Richland Township, Gibsonia, formerly of Clearfield, died Sunday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Allport, Clearfield County, on Aug. 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne Shutika.

A homemaker, Agnes was a member of St. Richard's Catholic Church in Gibsonia, where she participated in the prayer group. A former member of St. Kilian Church in Mars, she also participated in the prayer group there.

Surviving are her husband, William P. Cantolina; her daughter, Sandra M. Borden (Russell) of Greenville, S.C.; her son, William J. Cantolina (Pamela DelBianco) of Grove City; her granddaughters, Leora S. Cantolina and Kiersten N. Borden; two sisters, Helen Porta of McKees Rocks and Marion Loris (William) of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, John Shutika (Marcie) of McKees Rocks and David Shutika (Marion) of Coraopolis, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Shutika.

Cantolina — The friends of Agnes M. Cantolina, who died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Richard Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, with Father Thomas Sparacino, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
