Ann M. Lapen

Ann M. Lapen, 71, of Homosassa, Fla., formerly of East Brady, passed away Jan. 25.

Born April 16, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Paul J. and Thelma Smith Hillier. She was the wife of the late Allen E. Lapen, who passed away May 10, 2002.

Surviving are her companion of many years, Thomas Pence; three children, William Richard Derrick of Virginia Beach, Va., Denise Ann Derrick Schutzman of New Castle and Annette Marie Lapen of East Brady; two stepdaughters, Barbara DelRaso of Pittsburgh and Linda Cavanaugh of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Stallard of Apollo and Patricia Mastrilli of Florida; one brother, Paul Hillier of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her stepson, Charles Lapen.

LAPEN — Friends of Ann M. Lapen, who died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, will gather at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.A service will follow at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Oikowski officiating.In lieu of flower, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
