Josephine E. Payne, 64, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday at the Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Born on March 19, 1949, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Raymond P. and Florence Zadrowski Payne.

She was a former nurse's aide for St. Barnabas Senior Living.

She formerly attended the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She loved pets and was good and helpful to her friends.

Surviving are her brother, Patrick (Mary) Payne of Emlenton; her nephew, Joshua Payne of Emlenton; and her numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Payne; and her sister, Nancy Payne.
