Sarah Johnson

Sarah L. Johnson, 82, of Zelienople passed away Saturday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township.

Born on Oct. 13, 1931, in Mars, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey and Effie (Edmondson) Thompson.

Sarah was a faithful member of the Harmony Zelienople United Methodist Church. She cherished the time she spent with her cats. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her children, Robert “Bob” Johnson and his wife, Sondra, of Kentucky, Howard Johnson and his wife, Susan, of Washington, Pa., Lynn Grinder and her husband, Scott, of Zelienople, Carole Hicks and her husband, Ken, of North Carolina and Doug Johnson of Ohio; her 12 grandchildren; and her six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Johnson; her three brothers; her two sisters; and one great-grandchild.

Johnson — A funeral ceremony for Sarah L. Johnson, who passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Harmony Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, with the Rev. Dr. John K.
