Harold E. Helton, 83, of Oakdale passed away Thursday.

He was the beloved husband of M. Jean (Dunmyre) Helton and the late Margaret (Welch) Helton, who died April 24, 1995; the beloved father of Deborah Ireland and her husband, Richard, James Helton and John Helton and his wife, Susan; the grandfather of Austin Ireland, Ryan Ireland, Jaime Stephenson, Sarah Ireland-Stierheim, Tyler Helton and Logan Helton; the great-grandfather of Alexis, Trenton and Madison Ireland; and the brother of the late James and Robert Helton.

HELTON — There will be no visitation for Harold E. Helton, who died Thursday, March 27, 2014. A committal service will take place with full military honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, on Monday.It is respectfully requested that memorial donations be sent to the Wellsburg Masonic Lodge, 1125 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV 26070.Arrangements are being handled by the Wharton-Herrick Funeral Home, 951 Cliff Mine Road, Imperial, Pa.
