Martha Elizabeth Roth Ball

Martha Elizabeth Roth Ball, 91, of Upper Montclair, N.J., and Boca Raton, Fla., passed away Thursday at her home in Boca Raton.

Born in Pittsburgh on March 20, 1923, she grew up in Verona, and graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

She became a vice president for the Swiss Bank Corp. in New York City for many years. Martha traveled extensively and was an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Eugene (Gene Ball), of Butler, and her sons, Gene and Norman.

Martha is survived by her four children, Kathy Ball of Scituate, Mass., Jordan Ball and his wife, Ardythe, of Marietta Ga., and Roger and Loren Ball of Boca Raton, Fla. She is blessed with nine grandchildren, Brooks, Kara, Kelley, Lauren, Jordy, Eric, Maria, Gene, and Joseph, and four great-grandchildren, Tate, Tucker, Truett, and Tristan.

Ball — The friends of Martha Elizabeth Roth Ball, who passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
