Ruth M. (Farringer) Keene
Ruth M. (Farringer) Keene, 88, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away April 18 at home with her family by her side.
Ruth was an avid reader and loved to crochet her famous “Nanny” blankets.
Born in Valencia, she was a longtime resident of the Butler, Carlisle and Newville areas.
Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank T. Keene.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Keene) Saxton and her husband, Paul, with whom she lived in Waretown, N.J.; her two grandsons, Constantine Kokolis and his family of Dallas, Texas, and Adam McLaughlin and his family of North Babylon, N.Y.; her two sons, Thomas and John Keene and their families; her two sisters; and her two brothers.
Keene— A family dinner was held in honor of Ruth M. (Farringer) Keene, who passed away Friday, April 18, 2014.Ruth asked that donations be made in her memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
