The Slippery Rock University softball team split a pair of games Tuesday at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla., losing to Saginaw Valley State (Mich.) 5-3 before coming away with a 6-5 victory over Lake Erie (Ohio) in 10 innings.

Against Lake Erie, Butler graduate Jenna Geibel drove in the game-winning run, scored by Shardea Cross, who went 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Natalie Atkinson added two hits, an RBI and a run scored while Shaylee Ianno limited Lake Erie to two runs and three hits over the final six innings to improve to 3-0.

In the early game, Geibel went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI, and Amanda Hedgepeth added two hits and a run scored.
