David Lee Ross, 60, formerly of Eau Claire, passed away at his home in Titusville, Fla., on Saturday.

Born on Nov. 10, 1953, he was the son of Betty Lou Ross of Titusville and the late Richard H. Ross.

David was a longtime member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and, though he lived and worked in many places, he always considered Eau Claire his home and returned often to visit with friends and family.

He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and was always a dedicated Steelers fan.

David is survived by his daughter, Lindsay Ross; his grandchildren, Trent, Dustin and Janessa of Butler; his mother, Betty Lou Ross; his sister, Diane Johnson; his niece, Pam Loftin; and his nephew, Jeff McCarty of Titusville, Fla.

In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Lynn Ross.
