Anthony Joseph Vincent Lapa
Anthony Joseph Vincent Lapa, 30, of Mercer Township, Butler County, Harrisville, passed away at 2 p.m. Tuesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born in Grove City July 23, 1984, to Frank Lewis Lapa and Laura A. Froello Lapa.
Tony attended St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Forestville.
Tony attended Slippery Rock Schools and later attended Grove City Schools. He loved sports and was active in football, wrestling and basketball. Following school, Tony completed a Penn Foster course to become an automotive technician.
Survivors include his father, Frank L. Lapa of Harrisville; his mother, Laura A. Lapa of New Castle; his fiancee, Chelsea L. Weber of Harrisville; his sister, Lisa M. Lap Terlinden of Harrisville; his grandfather, Jerry Froello of New Castle; and his aunt who helped raise him, Patricia Lapa Straub, and her husband, James, of Slippery Rock.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Vincent and Ines Frasca Lapa and Patricia Froello.
Lapa — The family of Anthony Joseph Vincent Lapa, who passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2014, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 232 Boyers Road, Forestville, with the Rev. Fr. Kevin Poecking as celebrant. Friends are asked to meet at the church.
