State hunters set safety record in '05
HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced Thursday that 2005 was the safest hunting year in the more than 90 years that records have been kept.
Last year, there were 47 hunting-related shooting incidents, including three facilities.
In 2004, the year the previous record was set, there were 56 incidents, including four fatalities.
