Delores M. Lucas

Delores M. Lucas, 79, of Pine Township, Grove City, passed away at 12:24 a.m. Monday following complications of Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Harrisville to the late William and Eloise Hummel Stillwagon.

Delores married William A. Lucas on Sept. 12, 1949.

Delores was a member of The Church of The Beloved Disciple, Grove City.

She was a homemaker and a former bookkeeper for the Lucas Coal Co.

She is survived by her husband, William A. “Bill” at home; two sons, William A. “Bill” Lucas Jr. of Butler and Joseph A. Lucas and his wife, Tonya, of Grove City; five grandchildren, Brian Lucas and his wife, Karen, of Maryland, Joseph Lucas Jr. and his wife, Sacha, of Southgate, Ky., Ginger Slater and her husband, Jake, of Butler, Matthew Lucas of Washington D.C., and Kristen Lucas and Joe Nash of Playa del Ray, Calif.; six great-grandchildren; and her sister, Patricia “Patty” Flynn of Harrisville.

In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Lucas— Private family services and arrangements for Delores M. Lucas, who passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, are by Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Memorials can be made in Delores's memory to any charitable organization that benefits music or the arts.
