Michael Anthony Colonello, 66, of Foxburg, formerly of Mars, passed away Thursday morning at his home.

Born on June 15, 1948, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Beatrice J. Lehnig Colonello of Mars and the late Anthony B. Colonello.

A 1967 graduate of Mars High School, he had been a crew member for Peoples Natural Gas, then moved to North Carolina, where he worked as a guard at the state prison before retiring.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Barbara, Carol, Paula, Tammy and Anthony; his brother, Terry of Mars; his sister, Cynthia (Ernie) Wise in Florida; and several grandchildren.

He will be missed and was loved by all.
