Violet M. Tamburo
Violet M. Tamburo, 94, of Butler passed away Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
Born on July 13, 1920, in Erie, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas V. and Mary V. Litz Aquilino.
Violet was the wife of the late Dr. Joseph A Tamburo, who passed away on Nov. 12, 2009.
She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and was formerly employed at Winters Drug Store on North Main Street in downtown Butler. She also worked as a Realtor for W.C. Jahnig Realty.
She volunteered for many years with P.A.R.C.
She was a member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
Violet is survived by her son, Joseph A. Tamburo II of Fenelton; her brother, Dr. James F. Aquilino of Albany, N.Y., and her sister, Joan Ellen Charest of Spring, Texas.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her three sisters.
