Southpaw Richard signs with Pirates
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed pitcher Clayton Richard to a minor league contract and invited him to big league camp.
The 31-year-old Richard has a 46-47 career record with the Chicago White Sox and San Diego Padres. He was 2-5 with a 7.01 ERA in 2013 with the Padres.
