I don't think Boscov's should be bailed out either. I think the economy is being used as a scapegoat. Maybe people just didn't like shopping there. I don't particularly. I don't think that the quality of the merchandise is worth the prices. At times I've found the exact same things at Kmart. When they opened the mall referred to Boscov's as upscale but really the only thing upscale is their candy counter and cosmetic counter which we already had equivalents of in the area. I haven't found it to be a very friendly store either. I felt relatively snubbed by their employees on different occasions. I think it is a business that is failing not because of the economy but because of what it has to offer.

I think people need to stop blaming the economy for every failure. It is only going to cause things to get worse. If we look at history our country has went through alot of changes from the colonial days and so has our economy. The thing that always brought us through was adapting to change and people reaching for the next good thing and being part of it instead of whining about industries that had seen their day. I've heard people complaining that are still stuck on steal mills that closed 20 years ago. So we're not exporting as much steal anymore and businesses are getting it cheaper from other countries but I'm sure there was a time when people panicked because there wasn't a good market for beaver pelts anymore. At one point in history beaver pelts were a big industry. We all just need to be smart about it, and hopeful, and follow our countries tradition.

I personally am hopeful about alternative fuel. If I owned farmable land I would really think before I sold it or divided it up for housing plans.

Nevertheless, something new will come along if we look for it.Perhaps all the bailouts should be spent on grants for new busines and industries rather than things that already didnt work.
